Solids Consultation

If you're ready to introduce solid foods to your baby, this consultation is perfect for you! Whether you want to let your baby feed themselves or prefer to start with mashed up foods, we're here to guide you.

If you've already started solids but have lots of questions, we're here to help! If your child is a picky eater, we'll give you strategies to make sure they're getting all the nutrients they need to grow healthy. Solid food consultations are available in-person and online.

what to expect in a consultation

Intake Analysis

Before your first appointment, we will ask you some questions about your child’s medical background, including how the baby is feeding, sleeping, and growing. You will answer these questions through a secure online questionnaire to make sure your information remains private and secure.

Education & Support

We will talk about: signs of readiness, baby led weaning vs. purees vs. combination of the two, what you need to start, mindful eating, and what happens to breastfeeding and formula-feeding after introducing solids. You will learn how to introduce all food groups, including allergenic foods, and how to balance your baby’s meals according to their age. This is a 1:1 consultation for every family member or caregiver to participate if they wish.

Personalized Feeding Plan

Together, we'll create a personalized plan for you and your family. We'll provide recommendations based on what we learn, and send you a written plan along with a food checklist, a digital guide with additional information on how to introduce solids, product recommendations and templates for food logs and meal planning. If needed, we'll also connect you with other healthcare providers. We'll ask you to keep us updated on your progress. We offer follow-up appointments at our clinic, in your home, or online.
